I'm on a roll!

Holiie hosted our first ladie's event at church last Thurs. night...way to go Hollie!....Here is Addie dropping by after school to lend her decorative helping hand on Wed. afternoon!..

Isn't this a beautiful picture...well you don't know it...but it is really a picture of ME! Incognito that is! I am actually behind this picture...well..wearing it actually...the table cloth that is behind the flower....yes! it is on my head and i am posing as a ghost, if you will, with arms spread and ordered (by Heidi) to hover over the flower, thus keep all chances of light out to ruin the picture

...she had a brainstorm as were finishing up our decorating for the ladie's event...to take a picture of our flower so it could be on the screen as a backdrop! It actually was a good idea...thought you would be interested in how it happened......hey...why couldn't I have taken the picture and Heidi wear the table cloth??????

oh it wasn't frosting after all! it's jelly beans!!! all GOOD jelly beans need a cradling princess to love them!

Ava decided her bowl of yellow frosting need to be accompanied by a princess costume (what DOES go on her little head?)..and is it just me, or is she cradling that frosting as if it were a baby, or a kitten???? and i think she is talking to it!....well...that's AVA for ya!

here i am....feeling defeated as a blogger...as usual....contemplating the destruction of the site as an all out attempt to do something that was never meant to be....but when i really start to destruct the whole project those inner "voices" tell me to keep going...SO WHAT if it is boring? SO WHAT if it isn't current? SO WHAT if I steal my pictures? SO WHAT if I only have 29 and counting people reading my profile? (of which there is NONE..lol).........SO WHAT if I have a computer that HATES me and won't obey or cooperate in any fashion whatsoever????

Wellllllll....i am going to continue on for now anyway! i actually enjoy the creativity of the written form...it is a release, of sorts, and i really need to do it more....and of course i cannot give up the bragging rights of posting the ever so darling and hilarious pictures of the loves of my life....the G-KIDS! if i had the TIME, they certainly produce enough "material" just being themselves for me to blog til the cows come home...unfortunately nothing else in my life will bow down to that kind of EXTREME BLOGGING!!

ok, so here is the "catch up" news in a flash....

on March 21 we first went to Carter's baseball game...and he was the STAR....(see Heidi's blog)....and I quite vocally let it be known to those around me, singing.....Carter's a star...Carter's a star...know the tune??? anyway...they lost, but hey, who cares...CARTER IS A STAR!!!...he must have made all of the few points they had??? right???

we then went to a park by the lake in Heidi's neighborhood (we, meaning, me , Larry, Judi, and Stan) and we hid the Easter eggs (that we had stuffed the previous night) along with a few other goodies and awaited the arrival of the EGG HUNTERS...alias...Hope, Addie, Carter, Ava...and they arrived and geared up with their buckets and egg hunting they did....pictures to prove it....THEN we went on a LONG....and i DO MEAN LONG hike around the lake....while it was beautiful, a perfect day, it was still LONG!!! We started off on the journey in search of the geese who were swimming on the lake....(Heidi was determined to get rid of that bag of stale bread)........but of course, just as the group reached a reasonable distance from the ducks...they swam away...which of course led to us going around the ENTIRE lake...the ducks never did get their bread....but we sure had a NICE, albeit LONG walk!.....i couldn't help think of my wonderful friends and family in COLD IOWA who would give anything for a snow-less, ice-less walk around a beautiful lake!!! :)

the activities continued...we then went to Heidi's house and she and Hannah had baked 100 sugar cookies the night before for our deorating pleasure...(also in the pics)....and boy did the kids love that...oh did i say KIDS????....how about the MEN???? how about ESPECIALLY PETER!!!....he took it VERY seriously....(also in the pics).....isn't it cute to see my preacher son get so "into" decorating a sugar cookie???? he does "everything" for the glory of God! Josh, Craig and Larry were close behind him doing SOMETHING to their cookies!!!

well, after the cookie decorating afternoon we went home...and got our food ready for Easter dinner...which for us was at Stan and Judi's beautiful home...(they are Craig's parents).....we had a wonderful Easter service at church, followed by a wonderful dinner....and then home to rest and think about a new day!!!

I am failing as a blogger

I am failing as a blogger...and well...I just knew it would happen!...and yes, I am still blaming my computer...well....mostly anyway.....

and actually I am not even blogging much right now...just have to insert pics that make me laugh to hold you over (whoever you are that read my failing blog).....of course I stole the pics from Heidi...and let's just put it on the record RIGHT NOW.....I steal ALL my pics from Heidi or Hollie!...having said that...here are some funny Easter Day pics that make me laugh!....the Bucket Head girls are how I feel MOST days.....and with my failing eyesight...Carter and the "looking glass".....gave me a great idea...do you think I could just tie one of those around my neck??? Because I am seriously blind to all small print and more times than NOT I lose my

"cheater" glasses...I think this would DO the trick!!!!.............and well....that's a RAP....per usual computer activity....it isn't cooperating YET another time...so will add pics later (I hope)...so that all these words make sense...

Job Update

Here are some little characters that have been "typical" craft projects for our Mommy and Me classes....this particular one would get split into 3 sessions... i pre-assembled the little characters...etc. etc...the children absolutely adored painting them...of course with the watchful eye of their mommy, grammie, or nanny!....but NO MORE!!! boo hoo....it is gone FOREVER!...All the calls made to corporate, did indeed make them notice CANTON GEORGIA...but to no avail! I must admit, that from a corporate standpoint....(not that I like corporatizing in the first place)......but out of over 950 stores nationwide....only 12 did well in the class program...and our store did amazingly well...but to them it wasn't enough, obviously,.....and of course we have to be "streamlined" into all stores looking and acting alike.....and so goes corporate.... I have been offered the part time position of event coordinator, which is the title my current boss has had, she has to work full time so will go elsewhere....so that is what I will be doing for now... I will have quite a few LESS hours...which is good and bad...BAD for the paycheck...GOOD for my constant state of fatigue...I am glad for a little "break"
Things are changing at the store...and I now have to wear uniform colors....black, collared shirt with light color khaki bottoms....I kind of "rebelled" at the idea...but honestly...it does look rather nice to see everyone somewhat in uniform....it is easy to know what to wear too...but kind of "squelches" any creativity in dressing! (not that i had much, to be honest....i got too messy with paints and all...always wrecked my clothing!)
So I am being trained this month for my duties and will be the official EVENT COORDINATOR April 1st.
That is basically my job update.....lata gata
