we are here in PA, visiting Larry's family for Thanksgiving........my sister-in-law, Julie and i have been cleaning out closets, drawers, cubby holes, and any other kind of "storage" space for Larry's parents. his mother is in a nursing home, where she has been for 3 years.......and his father is still living in the house, along with Larry's brother and wife...........things have pretty much stayed the same and have LONG needed cleaning out........
well............anyway............we were cleaning our little minds out today, NO JOKE........and we were in a blanket chest............and we had the SURPRISE and SCARE of our life............unfortunately i can't show you pictures til we get back......but i am sure it will entertain you............
i also have acquired many other things here, that i am dying to photograph so i can blog about them!
i am so dog tired i can't see straight....but we sure got a LOT done..........we are now hoping for dry, wind-free weather tomorrow so the guys can burn the MOUNTAIN of garbage in the basement......the last time the 2 brothers were burning here on the farm......it was so windy.......they practically burned the farm down!..........funny how we learn from our mistakes.......
and, oh! the stuff for Goodwill! oh my! we have made 1 trip so far and the car was piled from top to bottom, front to back........really quite unbelievable....we probably have at least 2 more car loads to deliver!
we decided we must not do this to OUR children............altho........in my case........even tho my kids will probably groan when they "clean us out"........but we got rid of most of the JUNK before we moved to GA!.......to which i am sure they are grateful!
Larry's mother was a very successful AVON lady.........and i cannot even tell you all the AVON relics we have come upon!.......everything from every kind of pill case to bras and panties...and everything in between!........many of her AVON goodies are quite valued and we will attempt to sell them on EBAY or Craig's List....to help with the enormous cost of nursing home fees etc.
well, i guess i better try to sleep....i have had so much caffeine today...i am still coming off from the caffeine high...........but my eyelids are feeling weary!

Let's see - blanket chest surprise. Given the house's location, it must be a nest of cute little mice.
Julie should call her friends - Denny and Barb Milliman. They buy things, haul away, and re-sell. Then you wouldn't have to make the trips to Goodwill, and you'd get some money from them, too.
